Group Tours

By: The Humane Society of Greater Dayton

For those interested in learning more about the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, group tours are available Tuesday through Friday. We welcome small groups (15 to 20 people) to tour our facility, listen to a short presentation on our history and program goals, and participate in a hands-on introduction to our animals. We provide groups with educational materials, including bite prevention and how to approach an unknown animal. An age-appropriate talk and activity can be planned with advance notice, and time will be reserved for a question-and-answer session.

To set up a tour for your group, please contact Jodi Rettig, volunteer coordinator, at You may also reach her by phone, at 937/262-5924. Please schedule your tour at least two weeks in advance, to ensure availability and allow time for program preparation.

Tours are free of charge; however, a service project is required.
