Every donation helps
Donate to HSGD’s Rescue Fund and help the ill, injured and neglected animals in our community!
Saving and transforming lives is what we do, but saving lives is also expensive. We have saved a record number of animals from cruel and neglectful circumstances and we have also saved the lives of countless injured animals.
We have created a Rescue Fund that will be designated for animals that need immediate help. Their lives are in danger due to life-threatening injuries or emergency health-related circumstances. Animals such as Champion, Forest, Newman, Wendy and countless others have already gotten their second chance at a better life and with your help, we hope to save even more.
Please help us so we can help them! Be a hero and know that because of you, we are saving the lives of animals.

Honor the Pets and People You Love
Memorial contributions are a simple, loving way to remember your favorite pet or a loved one. You can make a donation of any amount in someone’s name or you can purchase a brick in our memorial Garden for $100.
The brick can be personalized with three lines of text, up to 13 characters per line (including spacing). Simply download the Memorial Garden brick form and mail it, along with your check or money order for the number of bricks requested to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton at 1661 Nicholas Road, Dayton, OH 45417.
Thousands of animals come through our shelters each year. From dogs, cats and rabbits, we have a steady stream of animals finding their forever homes. However, while they are in our care, we need your help to give them the shelter, food and medical attention they need.
We are a no-kill facility and the area’s largest animal welfare agency. We are devoted to each of our animals.
If you or your company would like to make an impact on many animals at our shelter, then consider becoming a kennel or cage sponsor at our facility. Each sponsor receives recognition on the kennel or cage they are sponsoring for an entire calendar year and also will have their name or logo on our sponsorship page. For more information on this program, contact the Humane Society at (937) 262-5920.
A dime here. A quarter there.
It might not seem like much, but when hundreds give, the spare change adds up and helps animals at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.
The Donation Box Program is one of our organizations largest ongoing fundraisers. Thanks to volunteers helping to place, monitor and collect donation boxes, last year alone, more than $10,000 was collected in Montgomery County.
How You Can Help
Just how powerful is the small change dropped into the Donation Box?
If every donation box collected $25 monthly from the Donation Boxes , we could raise more than $30,000 to support Humane Society of Greater Dayton animals in our community.
A full Donation Box could give a pet immunizations, spay/neuter surgery, and a microchip. The pet will be healthy and ready to go home with their new forever family.
A full Donation Box could provide a pet with a dental screening in a Rascal Unit Care Mobile.
Show your support when you see a Donation Box at a local business by dropping in your spare change. Spread the word and suggest to your friends and family that they do the same.
