Help Cats Find Homes and Save July 10th through 12th
We have partnered with BISSELL Pet Foundation with one goal in mind – to find more cats forever homes! From July 10th through July 12th, BISSELL Pet Foundation is sponsoring a reduced adoption fee at 160 shelters across the country and the Humane Society of Greater Dayton is one of them. Let’s empty the shelter and puts cats into loving homes! You simply pay $25 to adopt a cat from either our main shelter or the MeowZa Cat Boutique and BISSELL will cover the rest of the adoption fee. If you are looking to welcome a new cat or kitten into your home, now is the perfect time to do so!
To take advantage of this great adoption special, adopters are asked to fill out a survey at the time of adoption. If you choose not to participate in the survey, regular adoption fees apply.
As of right now, we are processing adoptions by appointment only.
How Does the Process Work?
If you see an animal on our website that you like, fill out an adoption application. You can find an application by clicking on the animal’s information at www.hsdayton.org/adopt and then printing out the application. You can then email your application to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you can’t scan and email in your application, an attached photo of the filled in application will work as well.
To be fair, our adoption counselors review applications in the order they are received. The first application that is approved will be the first permitted to adopt. We do continue to accept and review application in case an approved application falls through.
Once your application is approved, an adoption counselor will reach out to you to schedule a time for you to meet with the animal that you are interested in adopting. In some cases, we receive multiple applications for one animal, so please be patient with us as we navigate through this appointment process. Our goal is always to help as many people find their perfect match as possible and we appreciate all of your understanding and patience as we move forward.
