The Furry Skurry 5K is a fun-filled day for runners, walkers and pet lovers! Normally, held the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend (end of May), this event is the largest animal event in the Miami Valley! It has also been voted as the Best Charitable Race by Dayton Magazine for four years! However, this year, due to COVID the event has shifting times and will be held on Saturday, September 4th, 2021 (Labor Day Weekend).
With a superhero theme, we love to celebrate all of you – the superheroes who through your support help to save the lives of thousands of animals every year at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.
In addition to the 5K race and 1-mile walk that kick off the festivities, this event also includes Furry Fest. During Furry Fest you can experience tons of great activities including:
- Bloody Marys, Mimosas, Wine and Beer in our Beverage Tent
- VIPP Amenities including an Open Bar, Premium Parking, VIPP sWag bag, Bag Check, Premium food and much more!
- Dog Bone Bar
- High-Flying Pancake Breakfast
- And So Much More!
