Join us for this Name Your Own Price Adoption Special! In conjunction with WDTN Channel 2 and SICSA, the Humane Society of Greater Dayton is offering a huge discount on all of the animals at our main shelter. All animals participating in the Name Your Own Price event will be available for a price of your choosing. However, the cost can be no less than 50 percent off the regular adoption cost. 

 

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING

Lines may be long and we appreciate all of your patience! To more quickly move through, make sure to bring: 

  • Your most updated veterinarian records for all pets in your home. 
  • If you rent, a copy of your lease showing that you are permitted to have pets in your home. 
  • A filled out adoption application (optional). These can be found by clicking here

 

TIPS TO REMEMBER

  • All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be no holds for animals this day.
  • This special is only offered on August 18, 2018 and all standard adoption procedures apply. To adopt an animal, you must have an approved adoption application. 
  • Dress appropriate for the weather, stay hydrated and be prepared to be patient as there will be a line
  • The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization who relies soley on donations to fund all of the programs and services we offer to the community. We receive no government funding and are not affiliated with any other local, state or national group. 

 

WHAT YOU GET WITH YOUR ADOPTION

Prior to Adoption Dogs are: 

  • Microchip
  • Spayed or Neutered
  • Vaccinated
  • De-Wormed
  • Flea-Treated
  • Heartworm Tested
  • Given Monthly Preventative Treatments
  • Examined by a Veterinarian

Prior to Adoption Cats are: 

  • Microchip
  • Spayed or Neutered
  • Vaccinated
  • De-Wormed
  • Flea-Treated
  • FELV/FIV Tested Negative
  • Examined by a Veterinarian

Prior to Adoption Rabbits are: 

  • Spayed or Neutered
  • Flea-Treated
  • Examined by a Veterinarian
