The Humane Society of Greater Dayton (HSGD) is expanding! We are happy to announce an 8,000-square-foot state-of-the-art veterinary facility and a new 8,000-square-foot humane facility. Our ability to help the animals of our community is about to increase exponentially!

Our ideal candidate has several years of experience in Veterinary Medicine. Perhaps a senior receptionist with wonderful multi-tasking skills or a RVT that is ready to step away from the more physical aspects of the job. This position is going to be pivotal to our operations. Communication skills and organizational skills will be integral. This Full-time positions includes competitive pay rates and benefits including health insurance, sick and vacation time (accrued).

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Receive all emails and respond
  • Schedule all humane society in house surgery
  • Schedule all TNR surgeries
  • Schedule all foster surgeries
  • Schedule all foster vet check
  • Schedule all abuse and neglect vet check
  • Schedule all public spay neuter until clinic is open
  • Create invoices and take payment
  • Triage and prioritize surgical procedures creating a wish list with other dept. heads
  • Intakes and releases of all surgical cases
  • Record keeping and data entry for all surgical cases
  • Must have excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Track all grants and funding for TNR
  • Prepare paperwork for partner cities
