Working Cat Program

Through the Working Cat Program, the Humane Society of Greater Dayton works with individuals and companies to place unsocialized cats into non-traditional homes. These cats are mostly feral or semi-feral and do not do well in a home environment, but they are still wonderful and healthy cats. Some places that can benefit from a barn cat include:

  • Farms
  • Nurseries or greenhouses
  • Warehouses
  • Breweries
  • Junkyards
  • Workshops

They can benefit your facility by providing you with environmentally-friendly rodent control. All they ask in return from you is daily food, water, and a safe shelter away from the elements or other wildlife.
