Meet Ellis, currently our longest resident cat, an Meet Ellis, currently our longest resident cat, and one of the most loving souls you’ll ever meet! 💛 This 10-year-old lady has a gentle heart and just needed a little patience to feel safe and loved. She has a thyroid condition, but takes her medication easily and is doing well. Ellis may startle at sudden movements, and her eyesight isn’t perfect, but once she knows you mean her no harm, she melts into a sweet, affectionate companion who loves cuddles and giving soft little nudges for attention. A fantastic group of instructors from the Air Forc A fantastic group of instructors from the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) recently volunteered with us! ✨ They helped us with important tasks around the shelter and made a big difference for our animals. Eeyore, our nearly 9-year-old senior, got a break Eeyore, our nearly 9-year-old senior, got a break from the shelter and went to foster yesterday! This sweet old man has the calm confidence of someone who’s seen it all. He’s active and curious, yet respectful. He waits his turn, explores carefully, and doesn’t touch what’s not his. Mentally sharp and observant, Eeyore carries himself with the wisdom of an elder but the poise and strength of a lifelong athlete. He’s friendly with humans but takes a little time to warm up, and he’s completely quiet at a ringing doorbell. He’s managing a skin condition, which seems to be clearing, and while he can’t live with other pets due to a high prey drive, that just means more devoted attention for his future forever family. This noble boy is proof that seniors can still steal hearts, and we know the perfect forever home is out there for him.
