When Toffee Teefer first came to us, she was found When Toffee Teefer first came to us, she was found as a stray in heartbreaking condition, extremely thin, exhausted, and clearly having a very hard time surviving on her own. But look at her now. 💛 With time, care, and love, Toffee Teefer has filled out beautifully and reached a healthy weight. Even more amazing than her physical transformation is her spirit. This girl is pure joy! She greets people with full-body wiggles, lights up the moment she gets attention, and soaks up affection like she has been waiting her whole life for it. Toffee has so much love to give and is always ready to share it. She is a medium-sized, energetic, and fun-loving girl who is currently enrolled in training classes through our START program with the Dayton Dog Training Club. She is smart, food-motivated, and eager to learn. She already knows sit, down, come, and enjoys tricks like spinning and turning. She is working hard on her manners, including heeling and keeping all four paws on the floor instead of jumping up. Toffee Teefer can be a bit dominant in play with other dogs, so a meet-and-greet is recommended for any potential canine siblings. We are honestly surprised she is still waiting. She has come so far from the emaciated stray who arrived at our doors. During the event, our team can: ✔️ Scan your dog for an existing microchip ✔️ Microchip your dog ✔️ Show you how to register or update information on your dog's microchip We are asking for a small donation for each microchip, which can be made with cash or by scanning a QR code at the pet care booth. Every donation helps support the animals in our care and the lifesaving work of the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. ❤️ Please note: this microchipping opportunity is for dogs only.
