Adeona

By: The Humane Society of Greater Dayton

Adeona was found as a stray puppy and brought to an open-intake shelter we partner with. As you can see from her before photo, she was in very rough shape. We worked with this local shelter to transfer her to our facility where we could give her the care she needed. Her condition was quite horrific when she arrived. She had mange and her poor skin was raw, cracked, swollen and irritated.

Our team gave her the medical care she needed, and we placed her into a loving foster home to rehabilitate. In her foster home, Adeona could feel safe as she began her healing process. With each day that past she got better and better. She started to spend her days in her foster home socializing with the family’s other dogs.

Soon, her skin was clear of all of the pain she endured, and her happy, bubbly personality was able to shine through. After a few months of healing, Adeona was able to be placed into our Adoption Program where she quickly found a loving family to call her own.
