Welcome to Healthier at Home, the in-home veterinary care program from the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. We know how important your pets are to your family, and we believe they deserve expert care in a setting that is comfortable and stress-free—for both of you.
Whether your pet has mobility limitations, you have a packed schedule, or you're caring for multiple animals, our house-call vet services brings professional, personalized care directly to your home.
Pricing

Services We Offer
We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your pets healthy, comfortable, and happy. From routine wellness exams to chronic care management, we’re here to help your pet at every stage of life. The below prices are in addition to the $150 trip fee and are paid at the time of service.
General Wellness & Preventative Care
- In-home Wellness Exam: $80
- Vaccinations (per vaccine): $30 – $50
- Heartworm Test: $40 – $60
- Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention (per dose): $25 – $40
- Microchipping: $50
Care for Chronic Illness or Injury
- Diagnostic Exam: $100
- Recheck: $80
Routine Diagnostics & Testing
- Fecal Test (parasitology): $40
- Urinalysis: $60 – $100
- Bloodwork (CBC, Chemistry Panel): $150 – $200
- Ear or Skin Cellular Analysis: $60
Chronic Care & Disease Management
- Chronic Illness Management (e.g., diabetes, arthritis, allergies): $100 trip fee (with purchase of 4 visits) + medication administered at visit
- In-home Fluid Therapy (for chronic kidney disease, dehydration): $100 trip fee (with purchase of 4 visits)
- Pain Management: $100 trip fee (with purchase of 4 visits) + medication administered
End-of-Life & Hospice Care
- In-home Euthanasia: $300 (care of remains is separate)
- Hospice Care Consultation: $80 + medication
Behavioral & Specialty Care
- In-home Behavioral Consultation: $200 (for issues like anxiety, aggression)
- Nutrition Consultation & Custom Diet Plan: $150
- Geriatric Pet Care: $150 (includes mobility support, pain management, and regular check-ups)
