🧸 Teddy Bear Clinic is TOMORROW! 🧸 Your child can 🧸 Teddy Bear Clinic is TOMORROW! 🧸 Your child can bring their favorite stuffed animal to the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. for teddy bear check up! Dr. Staab will be there giving plushie check-ups while kids learn what a real vet visit is like. Volunteers from the Dayton Sewing Collaborative will also be on hand for small cosmetic repairs. This event is included with general museum admission and is brought to you in partnership with the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, Dayton Children's Hospital, and the Dayton Sewing Collaborative. Buck has taken over front desk duty today… and let Buck has taken over front desk duty today… and let’s just say customer service has never been this adorable! 🐾 At just 7 months old, this Doberman mix is deep in his awkward teenage phase. All legs, oversized paws, and goofy energy, Buck is still growing into those feet of his. Every now and then he forgets where they all are and gives us a little clumsy moment… but honestly, that just makes him even more lovable. He’s sweet, silly, a little shy, and very excited about his new role as today’s official greeter. If you stop by, don’t be surprised if you’re welcomed by a wiggly, big-pawed teenager who is very proud of himself for saying hello. Buck is hanging out at the front desk greeting visitors today, so stop by during open hours to meet him! We are excited to announce that the Jeff Schmitt Auto Group will be hosting the 8th annual "You Drive, They Thrive" campaign! In partnership with Ally, this annual initiative continues to support the Humane Society of Greater Dayton by donating $50 for every test drive taken at any of the eight Jeff Schmitt Auto Group locations, up to $10,000. The Jeff Schmitt Auto Group’s “You Drive, They Thrive” campaign has raised over $80,000 for the Humane Society of Greater Dayton throughout the years. This year’s campaign will run from March 1st through April 30th, 2026. Jonathan Taylor Thomas does a brave little hobble right in and steals your heart. 😽 JTT came to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton after what we believe was a car accident, suffering multiple fractures to his right rear leg and pelvis. To give him a pain free future, his right rear leg was amputated. After six weeks of crate rest in a loving foster home, his pelvis had time to heal and stabilize. It didn’t heal perfectly, which gives him that slightly awkward little hobble… but he gets around just fine. And he truly does not let it slow him down. He uses his litterbox like a champ, navigates his space confidently, and has adjusted to life on three legs with so much quiet resilience. Because of how his pelvis healed, he may be more prone to arthritis as he gets older, so keeping him at a healthy, slim weight will be important. JTT does not see himself as fragile. He is strong, adaptable, and so deserving of a family who will see his three legs not as a limitation, but as proof of everything he has overcome.
