With momentum and support from our incredible community like this, 2026 is shaping up to be another historic year! Ready to be part of it? Meet our adoptable animals at www.hsdayton.org/adopt.
A healthy female Great Dane should weigh around 10 A healthy female Great Dane should weigh around 100–130 lbs, but when Paisley arrived, she weighed only 65 lbs. She was so thin, so fragile, seeing her like that made our staff want to cry. 💔 Every ounce of her pain was visible, and all we wanted was to wrap her in love and never let her go hungry again.

Thanks to the tireless care of her incredible foster family and our team, Paisley has gained 17.2 lbs, now weighing 82.2 lbs and cleared for adoption! Every pound tells the story of her healing, resilience, and the love that surrounds her. 🌟🐾

Paisley is a gentle giant with the softest heart. She thrives on affection, is wonderful with children, loves other dogs, and has impeccable house manners. Fully potty trained and crate trained, she settles in like she has always been part of the family.

She gives love freely and asks for nothing but your kindness in return. Paisley is ready to leave her painful past behind and finally find the forever home she has always deserved, a place where she will always be fed, safe, and cherished. 💙

Could you be the one to give Paisley the life she has been waiting for?
