Not only did you answer our call, you went above and beyond to make sure every single animal here received essential supplies. From the tiniest bottle babies who rely on milk replacer and heating disks to stay warm (and even an incubator!!🍼❤️), to the over 100 small animals enjoying proper food and enriching items to keep them comfortable and engaged, your kindness has touched them all. And it didn’t stop there. Our dogs are happily working on their Kongs, and even our pickiest felines are enjoying the wet food you so thoughtfully donated. You made sure no one was left out, and that means more than we can put into words. Our community is absolutely amazing. The compassion and generosity you show these animals makes our mission possible, and we truly could not do it without you. Meet Ellis, currently our longest resident cat, an Meet Ellis, currently our longest resident cat, and one of the most loving souls you’ll ever meet! 💛 This 10-year-old lady has a gentle heart and just needed a little patience to feel safe and loved. She has a thyroid condition, but takes her medication easily and is doing well. Ellis may startle at sudden movements, and her eyesight isn’t perfect, but once she knows you mean her no harm, she melts into a sweet, affectionate companion who loves cuddles and giving soft little nudges for attention. Eeyore, our nearly 9-year-old senior, got a break Eeyore, our nearly 9-year-old senior, got a break from the shelter and went to foster yesterday! This sweet old man has the calm confidence of someone who’s seen it all. He’s active and curious, yet respectful. He waits his turn, explores carefully, and doesn’t touch what’s not his. Mentally sharp and observant, Eeyore carries himself with the wisdom of an elder but the poise and strength of a lifelong athlete. He’s friendly with humans but takes a little time to warm up, and he’s completely quiet at a ringing doorbell. He’s managing a skin condition, which seems to be clearing, and while he can’t live with other pets due to a high prey drive, that just means more devoted attention for his future forever family. This noble boy is proof that seniors can still steal hearts, and we know the perfect forever home is out there for him.
