We currently have over 100 small animals in our care, including guinea pigs, chinchillas, and rabbits. Many of these animals came to us through an ongoing investigation, which means they are not available for adoption or fostering yet. Until custody is decided, our dedicated staff is providing all the care they need. With so many animals, we are in dire need of small animal enrichment items to keep them happy, healthy, and engaged. 🧸 Teddy Bear Clinic is TOMORROW! 🧸 Your child can 🧸 Teddy Bear Clinic is TOMORROW! 🧸 Your child can bring their favorite stuffed animal to the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. for teddy bear check up! Dr. Staab will be there giving plushie check-ups while kids learn what a real vet visit is like. Volunteers from the Dayton Sewing Collaborative will also be on hand for small cosmetic repairs. This event is included with general museum admission and is brought to you in partnership with the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, Dayton Children's Hospital, and the Dayton Sewing Collaborative. Buck has taken over front desk duty today… and let Buck has taken over front desk duty today… and let’s just say customer service has never been this adorable! 🐾 At just 7 months old, this Doberman mix is deep in his awkward teenage phase. All legs, oversized paws, and goofy energy, Buck is still growing into those feet of his. Every now and then he forgets where they all are and gives us a little clumsy moment… but honestly, that just makes him even more lovable. He’s sweet, silly, a little shy, and very excited about his new role as today’s official greeter. If you stop by, don’t be surprised if you’re welcomed by a wiggly, big-pawed teenager who is very proud of himself for saying hello. Buck is hanging out at the front desk greeting visitors today, so stop by during open hours to meet him! Our most recent birthday crew had an absolute blast with a behind-the-scenes shelter tour, handmade pup cups, custom bracelets and bandanas, and the best part… meet-and-greets with four of our adoptable stars: Zinger, LilMama, Falcon, and Douglas. 🐶💛 Puppy kisses may or may not have stolen the spotlight.
