💜 February is National Cat Health Awareness Month, 💜 February is National Cat Health Awareness Month, and we want to shine a light on some amazing FIV-positive cats who are full of love, energy, and personality! 🐾 Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) affects a cat’s immune system, but it doesn’t slow them down or mean they can’t live long, healthy, happy lives. FIV is most commonly spread through deep bite wounds from an FIV-positive cat or from a FIV-positive mother cat to her kittens. It is not spread through casual contact like grooming or sharing food bowls, so with a safe, stress-free environment, FIV-positive cats thrive just like any other cat. He loves people, lives for a good game of chase, and will happily soak up all the belly rubs you have to offer. 💙 Bret recently got to enjoy a Doggy Day Out with one of our awesome volunteers, who treated him to private playtime at Folded Ear dog park. Because Bret is not a fan of other animals, having a space all to himself was perfect. He got to run, play, explore, and just be a dog without any stress. Add in a pup cup treat and some snowy zoomies, and it truly was his **best snow day ever!** ☃️🍦 Bret’s only catch is that he needs to be the one and only pet in the home due to his reactivity toward other animals. Meet Padre and Oakland! 🐾💙 These sweet kittens ca Meet Padre and Oakland! 🐾💙 These sweet kittens came to us as bottle babies back in August and are now nearly 6 months old. They’ve been patiently waiting for their forever home but keep getting overlooked because they are FIV positive. FIV, or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, affects a cat’s immune system. Cats with FIV may get colds or other minor illnesses a little more often than other cats, but with regular vet care and a safe, low-stress home, they can live long, happy, full lives. Oakland (female, black) and Padre (black and white) are best buddies. Padre is confident and outgoing, always ready to explore and play, while Oakland is a little more cautious and takes her time to feel safe. Together, they spend their days chasing toys, wrestling, and keeping each other entertained. These two cuties would love a forever home together, where they can continue being playful partners in crime and fill your days with joy. They came to us far too skinny, but look at them n They came to us far too skinny, but look at them now! 🐶💛 Falcon, Eagle, and Phoenix, our sweet beagle mixes, arrived severely underweight and in need of careful, consistent care. Thanks to proper nutrition, close monitoring, and lots of love, they have made incredible progress and are feeling better every day. While they still have a little more weight to gain, our vet team has officially cleared them for adoption! In just three weeks, these boys have made amazing strides, and we are so proud of how far they have come. A big thank you to their dedicated fosters for helping support their recovery along the way! Honestly, we don’t get it, he’s a fantastic little guy who deserves a forever home! 😼 This back-flopper, feather-chaser, snack-connoisseur has it all. He’s not a big cuddler, but when he decides you’re worthy of pets and flops next to you, it feels like hitting the jackpot. 🎰💖 Waylon’s foster home has a guinea pig roommate, and Waylon is completely chill about it. He even sneaks into the guinea pig’s tiny hide to hang out… even if he doesn’t quite fit! 😹 Only Waylon could be this confident, quirky, and totally relaxed all at once.
