๐Ÿ’” 188 DAYS. ๐Ÿ’” That is how long Eeyore has been wai ๐Ÿ’” 188 DAYS. ๐Ÿ’” That is how long Eeyore has been waiting in the kennels. 188 days of watching other dogs go home. 188 days of wondering when it will finally be his turn. As our longest resident dog, Eeyore has now spent over half a year in a shelter environment. We are starting to see the toll it can take on him, and we need your help to change his story. When we found him, Eeyore had been abandoned after hours in a crate. No explanation. No goodbye. Just a dog in rough shape, completely alone, wondering what he did wrong. Eeyore doesnโ€™t understand why he keeps getting overlooked. He just knows heโ€™s here, waiting for someone to see past his healing skin and recognize the sweet senior boy underneath. Because underneath it all, he is something special. Eeyore is a total snuggler and professional lap dog who will happily climb right into you for love. At 8 years old, he offers a calm, steady, โ€œsoul-dogโ€ kind of loyalty that only seniors can give. He is also incredibly smart, affectionate, and eager to connect. His skin and allergies are ongoing and will require continued vet care, consistency, and support as we continue to manage them. This is a long-term commitment, not a quick fix. He is also strong, has energy, and will need structure, enrichment, and someone confident in helping redirect him in positive ways. He struggles with separation anxiety and needs to be the only pet in the home (no other dogs or small animals). We know he is not the easiest dog. But he is absolutely worth it. He has been overlooked because he is older, a little rough around the edges, and needs more effort to thrive. He is a good dog who has been failed too many times. We are ready for someone to finally say yes to him. Because Eeyore is not asking for easy. They are social, intelligent, and full of personality when given space to thrive. ๐ŸŒฟ ๐Ÿ“ Frank is the social sweetheart. He loves people, attention, and being part of everything you are doing. He will happily take treats from your hand and โ€œchatโ€ with you while following you like a feathery little shadow. ๐Ÿฅฐ ๐Ÿ“ Philip is the calm observer. He is independent, laid back, and loves sunshine and simple living. He enjoys grazing, wandering, and doing life at his own peaceful pace. โ˜€๏ธ ๐Ÿ“ Gallagher is the bold entertainer. He is curious, confident, and always ready to announce himself. He loves high perches, exploring, and keeping a watchful eye on everything around him. ๐ŸŽค These boys currently do not have spurs, however spurs can grow back over time and will need maintained as part of their care. If kept together as a bachelor flock, they will need plenty of space to stay balanced and thrive as a trio. They can also be adopted individually into homes with hens. ๐Ÿ“ We love their clucks and crowing filling our barn stalls, but we know these boys deserve more space to roam, explore, and truly live as roosters.
