Grey Muzzle Success Story! 🐾💛

At 8 years old, Cooper the chiweenie found himself in a tough spot when his beloved owners’ health was declining. Knowing they could no longer give him the care he deserved, they made the heartbreaking decision to bring him to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. It was clear Cooper was deeply loved, and they wanted to make sure he’d continue to be cared for the way he needed. 💔❤️

Even with such a big change, Cooper’s sweet spirit shined through. It didn’t take long for a family to fall in love with him. Just 10 days after arriving, Cooper was officially adopted! 🏡✨

Now, Cooper is back where he belongs in a loving home, being spoiled and cherished with a bright future ahead of him.

Thanks to the generous support of The Grey Muzzle Organization, we can continue to give senior dogs like Cooper the second chance they deserve. 🐶

Meet Bret. This big, goofy sweetheart carries a name that means so much to us. He was named in honor of a kind man who gave generously to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, donating supplies time and time again to help animals in need. Though he has sadly passed, his compassion lives on through the animals he helped… and now through Bret the dog. ❤️

Bret came to us as a stray, not feeling his best. But with the same love and care his namesake showed, he has blossomed into a healthy, happy boy who is ready to find his forever family. Despite his size, Bret believes he’s a lap dog and will soak up every snuggle he can.

🐾 Bret is looking for a family where he can be the only pet. He has so much love to give, and he deserves to be the center of attention.

Thanks to all of your who shared posts, spread the word and came in to adopt! We were able to find 273 animals forever homes in August! This included 201 cats, 57 dogs, 7 guinea pigs, 3 hamsters, 3 rabbits, 1 cockatiel and 1 ferret! Don't worry though, if you are still looking for a new family member, we still have a full shelter of animals waiting for forever homes.
