12 Days of Giving: Day 8 Nap time! Everyone need 12 Days of Giving: Day 8 Nap time! Everyone needs a comfy place to lay down and the shelter animals are no different! Blankets and pet beds proved comfort and a safe place for the animals here to dream of finding their forever homes. Today, and for the next 4 days we will share some items from our Amazon Wishlist that we are in need of, and items that will add enrichment to the animals here at the shelter, along with a link where the item can be purchased and even be shipped right to our door! hsdayton.org/wishlist

She is not only a beautiful cat, but her personality is sweet, smart, loyal, and sensitive! Help Cats Find Homes and Save December 6th through 20th We have partnered with BISSELL Pet Foundation with one goal in mind – to find more cats forever homes! From December 6th through 20th, BISSELL Pet Foundation is sponsoring a reduced adoption fee at 160 shelters across the country and the Humane Society of Greater Dayton is one of them. Let’s empty the shelter and put cats into loving homes! How it Works: 1. Visit www.hsdayton.org/adopt to find a cat or kitten that you like 2. Visit the main shelter or MeowZa Cat Boutique to meet the cat you are interested in 3. If you choose to adopt, you will be asked to fill out a survey along with your final adoption paperwork. When you complete the survey, you will be eligible for the adoption discount making your total adoption cost $25. Thanks to BISSELL Pet Foundation’s grant, they are generously covering the remainder of your adoption fee. This is good only on cats at our main shelter (1661 Nicholas Road) and at the MeowZa Cat Boutique (inside the Dayton Mall). This special event is brought to you thanks to a grant by BISSELL Pet Foundation. It is good only for cats and kittens. If you are interested in adopting another type of animal you can still visit and meet the animal, but adoption fees are normal. @cathy_bissell @bissellpets #emptytheshelters

Tj is almost one year old and is searching for his Tj is almost one year old and is searching for his new forever home after his previous owner developed some health issues and could no longer care for him. The shelter environment was a big change for TJ, but he is now warming up and showing how sweet and snuggly he is!
