💚 MEET THEODORE: PART-TIME DOG, FULL-TIME HAPPINES 💚 MEET THEODORE: PART-TIME DOG, FULL-TIME HAPPINESS MACHINE! 💚 If you’re looking for a reason to smile, meet Theodore! Seriously… LOOK AT THAT FACE! 😍 This 6-year-old happy boy has been waiting 281 days for his perfect person. He came to us from the Montgomery County Animal Resource Center on November 25, 2025, and is now one of our longest residents. How has nobody scooped up this goofy guy yet?! Don’t let the gray on his muzzle fool you—Theodore has SO much life and energy! He loves people, playing tug, toys and, most importantly, hot dogs. 😂 When he gets excited, you might hear his adorable little piggy snorts, and when he crashes for a nap, get ready for some impressively loud snores. 🐷💤 And that SMILE?! It never quits! We’ve dressed Theodore as the Easter Bunny, turned him into one of Santa’s reindeer and put him through all sorts of ridiculous photo opportunities. His response every time? BIG SMILES! 😂 He’s clearly just happy to be included. But Theodore isn’t just a goofy face. He is incredibly eager to please, knows his commands, sits and lies down on the first ask, and comes when called. He’s well behaved in the home, trustworthy when left out and perfectly content to relax nearby without getting into things. He does need one thing: to be your one-and-only. Theodore does not enjoy sharing the spotlight with other dogs or cats, so he needs a home where he can be the only furry king. And with a personality this BIG, he has more than enough love to go around! He’d prefer not to be crated, but give him his people, some room to run and a good game of tug, and Theodore is one VERY happy boy. 281 days is WAY too long for a dog this happy to be waiting. 💔 His smile is ready. When we say “toy motivated,” we mean Zazu takes it to a whole new level. You will rarely find him without something in his mouth. A fluffy stuffie? Naturally. A ball? Of course. His favorite metal bowl? YES. This boy will proudly trot around carrying a metal bowl like he just won the World Championship of Bowl Carrying. It is one of his greatest talents, and he takes his job very seriously. But Zazu isn’t just a professional toy collector. He’s also a professional best friend. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be right there with you for everything. Yard time? He’s ready. Adventure? Grab your shoes. Playtime? Obviously. Couch snuggles? He’s your guy. He’s lighthearted, affectionate and bursting with personality, and he has enough goofy energy to keep you laughing for years to come. That includes 204 cats, 55 dogs, 4 fish, 3 guinea pigs, 2 parakeets, 2 rats, 1 rabbit and even 1 bearded dragon!
