Some goodbyes are the kind that make everyone cry Some goodbyes are the kind that make everyone cry happy tears. 🥹 A few days ago, our long-term resident Eeyore was officially adopted! After his first night home, they sent us this update: “You won’t believe how smoothly his first night is going! I was a little nervous, but he’s truly made himself right at home. We’re currently having the most adorable, cozy evening imaginable. He’s all snuggled up in bed right next to me, completely ignoring the TV. It’s such a sweet sight to see him so relaxed and comfortable already!” We could not love this more. Despite his age, medical needs, and a difficult past, Eeyore’s story did not end at the shelter. It began again. This is why we never give up on the long stay pets, the seniors, and the ones who need a little extra care. Sometimes the best endings just take a little longer. She isn’t just a rabbit; she’s a stunning, large Harlequin icon who knows she’s the prettiest girl in the room. Why eat from a bowl when you can hurl it across the room to show your displeasure with the plating? 🥣💨 She doesn’t do "cuddles", she does "appearances." You may look, but no touchy unless she says so. Marion is a professional toy-tosser and a dedicated interior decorator who will regularly move her furniture to suit her whims. She is a resilient girl managing a metabolic issue that requires a high-quality, specialized diet and a true kingdom (a large exercise space) where she can roam freely to stay healthy and burn off her signature spicy energy. 🐰💢 We are seeking a seasoned rabbit owner for this lady. Marion has high standards and she isn’t afraid to voice them. When she’s upset, she doesn’t just pout! She thumps, she charges, and she will literally growl at you. (We bet you didn't know rabbits can growl!) She isn’t "mean," she’s just Misunderstood Royalty. If you toss her a toy, expect her to throw it right back. 🎭 🕒 CATCH THE QUEEN IN PERSON Marion was here yesterday, but if you had the audacity to miss her, she will still be at the shelter Today from 12 PM – 4 PM. After that, she returns to her foster and will require an appointment for an audience. On Wednesday, April 29th, Humane Society Agents fr On Wednesday, April 29th, Humane Society Agents from the Humane Society of Greater Dayton seized over 40 cats from an RV in Trotwood, Ohio. Conditions inside the RV were hazardous—including holes in the ceiling, rain pouring in, and floors covered in mud, feces, and debris. The animals are now being treated at the Dayton Humane Veterinary Hospital.
