Two Animals Desperately Need Help to Heal

By: The Humane Society of Greater Dayton

We are reaching out to our supporters with urgent news about two precious animals in desperate need of your help: Cloe and Willie.

You can give now to help support their multiple surgeries by clicking here

Cloe: Surgery is Her Only Path to Healing

Once a cherished kitten, Cloe’s journey has taken a heartbreaking turn. Scarred and in pain, she came to our shelter, her tiny body bearing the marks of previous trauma. Despite her struggles, Cloe’s spirit remains unbroken. Her gentle nudges and affectionate gestures toward our team speak volumes of her resilient soul. But beneath her loving demeanor lies a world of suffering. Cloe’s disfigured face tells a story of pain and hardship, with a lip avulsion leaving her in constant discomfort. Despite multiple surgeries, her wounds persist, trapping her in a cycle of pain and uncertainty. The only solution left is an in depth surgery that will give her a chance to finally heal and feel comfort again.

Willie: Multiple Surgeries Needed to Let Him Run Again

Willie, a stray and injured puppy came to us with fractures just above both of his femurs. Each step he took was a reminder to the pain and struggle he faced.

We took him to an orthopedic specialist and it was determined that Willie needs multiple surgeries to repair the damage to his femurs. The two surgeries will each come with an 8-week recovery period. During this time, he will be on cage rest and won’t be able to jump or run as he heals. These surgeries and recoveries are quite expensive and even with a discount from the emergency vet, will cost an upwards of $7,000.

How to Help

Their stories are intertwined with resilience and hope. Cloe and Willie both need multiple surgeries to reclaim their futures. These surgeries will cost the shelter nearly $12,000, but with this cost we are given these two animals the care and resources needed to relieve their pain and live a happy and healthy life in the future.

Your donation today will make a world of difference in their lives, ensuring they receive the life-saving procedures they need to heal and thrive. Every dollar brings us closer to giving Cloe and Willie the second chances they deserve.

Please, open your hearts and donate now to be the hero they desperately need.

Thank you for your compassion and generosity!
