Humane Solutions Through Trusted Spay and Neuter Services

Tens of thousands of animals are currently roaming the streets of our communities. Without responsible intervention, these animals continue to reproduce—worsening an already out-of-control situation. At the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, we believe euthanasia is not the answer. The most humane and effective way to address overpopulation is through spaying and neutering.

How Pet Owners Can Help

Through our high-volume Dayton Humane Spay & Neuter Clinic, we provide low-cost spay or neuter surgeries for cats and dogs that are owned by community members.

Call us today at (937) 965-4400 or fill out the form at the link below to schedule your pet’s appointment.

Spaying or neutering not only helps your pet live a longer, healthier life—it also supports our mission of reducing the number of unwanted litters in the Dayton region. We currently provide services for cats and dogs.

7,885 animals were spayed or neutered in 2024 at the Dayton Humane Spay & Neuter Clinic, part of the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.

Community Cat Initiative

As part of the Humane Society of Greater Dayton’s commitment to addressing feline overpopulation, we offer a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program through our Community Cat Initiative. This initiative provides free or low-cost cat spay or neuter services to individuals, townships, and cities working to humanely reduce the number of stray and feral cats.

We offer:

  • Training and education
  • Trap rentals
  • Access to our spay and neuter clinic for medical care
