Celebrate Their Special Day with Some Very Special Guests
Looking for a birthday party that is fun, memorable and perfect for an animal lover? Celebrate at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton and give your child a birthday experience they will never forget. Our birthday parties are designed for young animal lovers who want to spend their special day surrounded by furry friends. The two-hour party gives the birthday child and up to 8–10 friends the opportunity to explore the shelter, get creative, learn about animal welfare and, of course, spend time with some of our adoptable animals.
Party Details
Party Fee: $150
A 50% deposit is due at the time of scheduling to reserve your party date. The remaining balance is due before or on the day of the party.
Party Length: 2 Hours
- First Hour: HSGD staff-led programming and animal-focused activities
- Second Hour: Family celebration time for presents, cake, cupcakes and enjoying time with your guests
- Families may arrive 30 minutes before the party to set up decorations.
- HSGD staff will assist with tear-down after the party.
We can currently accommodate 8–10 children, including the birthday child, along with a few adults.
WHAT WE PROVIDE:
The first hour of your child’s party will be hosted by Humane Society of Greater Dayton staff and typically includes:
- A game, craft or service project designed for the age group
- A tour of our facility, when age appropriate
- A birthday party T-shirt and fabric markers for guests to sign and personalize
- A meet-and-greet with an animal
Our goal is to create a fun, hands-on experience where children can celebrate their special day while learning about animals and the work we do to help them.
Make the Party Your Own
You are welcome to decorate the party space however you would like! Whether you want to go all out with an animal-themed celebration or keep things simple, you are responsible for providing your own decorations and party supplies.
Families are also welcome to bring their own cake or cupcakes for guests to enjoy during the second hour of the party.
Please remember to bring any decorations, serving supplies, utensils, candles and other items you may need for your celebration. You are able to arrive 30 minutes prior to the party time to set up the room with any decorations you’d like to use.
