Recently these two incredible kids came in to work on their reading skills and provide some company to our shelter pups! 🐶📚 How it works: • Sign up at hsdayton.org/book-buddies • Check in at the front desk • Choose a book or bring your own • Grab a towel and name tag • Read aloud to a dog or cat with a parent present. Who’s that Pocket Pet? 👀🐹 This mystery fluffball Who’s that Pocket Pet? 👀🐹 This mystery fluffball is a 1-year-old female with stunning white and gray fur. She was rescued from a large hoarding case, where she and many other animals lived in difficult conditions. Like many chinchillas from this situation, she hasn’t been very socialized yet and doesn’t enjoy being handled. She’ll need a calm, patient home where she can explore safely, get comfortable at her own pace, and enjoy plenty of enrichment to stay happy and healthy.
