🐾 Six beagles are getting a fresh start, and tomor 🐾 Six beagles are getting a fresh start, and tomorrow, ALL SIX will be ready to find forever homes! 💛 We recently partnered with BISSELL Pet Foundation and other animal welfare organizations to help with an animal hoarding situation involving 66 beagles. Thanks to multiple organizations working together, these dogs were able to find placement among groups that could give them the individual care and attention they need. HSGD welcomed six of the beagles into our care. They've been through a LOT of change. All six are understandably shy and scared, but they are friendly with other dogs and slowly learning to trust people. What they need now are patient families willing to give them the time and love they need to feel safe. 🥹💛 Tomorrow, all six will make their adoption debut during our Clear the Shelters Crescendo Event! 🎉 📅 Saturday, August 29 ⏰ 12–4 p.m. 📍 Humane Society of Greater Dayton 🐾 1661 Nicholas Rd., Dayton Adoptions are first come, first served, so we recommend filling out an application online ahead of time and arriving early if you're hoping to meet one of these sweet beagles! Suddenly finding herself in a shelter was a HUGE change for this shy girl, but little by little, Tamarind is learning that she’s safe. She’s currently in our open cat room with some of her former housemates, and every tiny step forward feels like a critical success. 🥹🐾 If you visit Tamarind, don’t be discouraged if she’s hiding. Give her a little time. Sit with her. Let her make the first move. As our longest resident dog, Theodore has watched a lot of other dogs leave for their forever homes. At almost 7 years old and needing to be the only pet in his future kingdom, he tends to get overlooked.
