Thanks to our amazing adopters, 301 animals found the loving families they deserve this past month. While many people know us for helping dogs and cats, our mission extends to every animal in need. Last month, forever homes were found for: 🐱 229 Cats 🐶 52 Dogs 🐰 7 Rabbits 🐹 5 Guinea Pigs 🦦 3 Ferrets 🐭 2 Gerbils 🐔 1 Chicken 🦜 1 Parakeet 🐷 1 Pig Every adoption changes two lives—the animal who finds a loving home and the next animal who now has a safe place to turn. 🐱 Valor Update! 🐱 We have been waiting for this m 🐱 Valor Update! 🐱 We have been waiting for this moment, and today we finally get to share some wonderful news. Valor is ready for adoption! ❤️ When Valor needed help, this community showed up for him. Because of your generosity, he was able to receive the specialized bone graft surgery he needed, giving him the opportunity to heal and move forward. And now, after everything he has overcome, this sweet boy is ready to find a home. Valor has recovered beautifully from his surgery. He still has his sutures and a little more healing ahead of him, but he is comfortable, happy, and doing incredibly well. He’ll go home with his cone for a little while longer, and we’ll be covering the cost of his suture removal at Dayton Humane Veterinary Hospital. Seeing Valor today is truly something special. He is back to enjoying the simple things, getting attention, relaxing, and showing everyone just how loving and wonderful he is! After all he’s been through, watching him get to this point means so much to everyone who has cared for him. Right now, some of our large dogs need something o Right now, some of our large dogs need something only a foster home can provide. They're recovering from medical procedures or injuries and need a quiet, comfortable place to rest while they heal. The shelter can meet their medical needs, but a home gives them the peace, comfort, and one-on-one care that helps them recover. Each of these medical fosters requires a minimum 2-week commitment. During that time, you'll help give them the stability they need while they focus on healing and getting ready for the next chapter of their journey. You don't have to worry about the cost. We provide all food, supplies, medications, veterinary care, and ongoing support to our fosters. Your role is simple but incredibly important: give them a safe place to recover and lots of love along the way. Every dog featured in this post is urgently looking for a medical foster. After six months in our shelter, we're overjoyed t After six months in our shelter, we're overjoyed to share that Zinger has finally found his forever home! ❤️ Zinger came to us from a heartbreaking hoarding case where he had been living in neglect and unsafe conditions. He was the only dog rescued from the case, alongside more than 30 cats and an opossum. One by one, the cats found loving homes. The opossum was successfully rehabilitated and released back into the wild. Through it all, Zinger patiently waited, watching families come and go while hoping his day would come. And recently, it finally did. This is why we never stop believing in our long-term residents. Sometimes the perfect match takes a little longer to find, but it is always worth the wait. Happy tails, sweet boy. After everything you've been through, we're so grateful you've finally found the safe, loving home you always deserved. We hope your days are now filled with soft beds, endless love, and all the happiness that comes with being home. Thank you to everyone who shared Zinger's story, cheered him on, and believed his family was out there.
