If you've been waiting for a chance to meet one of If you've been waiting for a chance to meet one of our foster pets without scheduling an appointment, here's who will be popping in this week:

✨ Tuesday 7/14 • Cassius • 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Cassius is potty trained, great with children, and loves snuggles and companionship. He can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but give him some time and his playful, goofy side starts to shine through. Underneath it all is a sweet dog who just wants someone to love.

✨ Wednesday 7/15 • Toffee Teefers • 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM
If happiness could wag, it would look like Toffee Teefers. This spunky medium-sized pup is always wiggling, always smiling, and always ready for fun. She can be a little bossy with other dogs, especially smaller ones, but may do well with the right canine friend if their personalities click.

✨ Wednesday 7/15 • Nico • Returning from foster!
Nico came to us extremely skinny, but thanks to lots of care and love, he has made an incredible recovery. He's fully house trained and crate trained. Nico is not a fan of cats, but he is eager to please, loves backyard zoomies and peanut butter. Nico will be coming back to the kennels on Wednesday where he'll stay until he finds his forever family.

✨ Thursday 7/16 • Lil Mama • 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM
At 10 years old, Lil Mama is looking for a calm home where she can enjoy her golden years in comfort. This sweet senior hound mix has done well with other dogs who match her laid-back energy and would love a family to spend her retirement with.

Foster animals are typically only available to meet by appointment, so these pop-ins are a great opportunity to stop by, say hello, and maybe even meet your new best friend without scheduling ahead.

💙 Scooby-Dooby-Doo... where are you? 💙 Turns out, 💙 Scooby-Dooby-Doo... where are you? 💙

Turns out, he's right here at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton... still searching for his forever crew!

At just 8 months old, Scooby is already 55+ pounds of lovable puppy. Like his cartoon counterpart, he's a little timid when facing new mysteries, but once he warms up, his goofy personality comes bounding out.

🔍 Solving the mystery of the missing tennis ball (he loves fetch!)
🦴 Investigating every toy in sight
🏃 Conquering the agility A-frame like a true adventure pup
❤️ Stealing hearts wherever he goes

The only mystery left to solve? Who gets to take Scooby home.

No haunted houses. No ghosts. No villains hiding behind masks. Just one sweet pup looking for a family to join his own Mystery Inc.

Scooby-Dooby-Doo... could his next adventure be with you? Stop by and meet this gentle giant today or visit www.hsdayton.org/adopt.
A little extra space in your home can make a world A little extra space in your home can make a world of difference for a shelter pet this summer.

Fostering provides animals with a safe, loving place to relax while they wait for their forever families. Time in a foster home helps reduce stress, build confidence, and gives our team valuable insight into each pet's unique personality—making it easier to find the perfect match for adoption.

Through #Foster50, in partnership with the @pedigreefoundation, we're working to expand our Foster Roster so even more animals can experience the benefits of life outside the shelter.

Whether you can foster for a few days, a few weeks, or longer, your kindness helps save lives and creates space for more animals who need our care.

Ready to make an impact? Visit hsdayton.org/foster to learn more and see how you can become a foster for one of the amazing animals below!

In January, our Humane Agents rescued more than 30 In January, our Humane Agents rescued more than 30 cats, one dog, and even an opossum from one of the worst hoarding cases we've ever encountered. The home was eventually condemned because the conditions were so severe.

Today, every cat has found a loving family. The opossum was rehabilitated and released back into the wild. Zinger is the only one still waiting...

Even after everything he's been through, Zinger is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. He loves soaking up attention from people, but hand him a toy and he's just as happy entertaining himself nearby. He's well-mannered, eager to please, loves learning (especially when treats are involved!), and is ready for anything from a weekend adventure to a quiet evening on the couch.

Zinger came from a home with dozens of cats and has previously done well in a foster home with cats, so we believe he'd do well with feline friends.

He's survived the unimaginable. Now all he needs is someone to give him the life he's always deserved. Could you be the one to finally bring the last animal from this case home? ❤️🏡 hsdayton.org/adopt/dogs
